Health Benefits of Reiki

As a Reiki practitioner, I have seen first hand the benefits of Reiki on a person's health, including my own. Some of the health benfits of Reiki include:

  • Deep relaxation, decreased tension and stress.
  • Deeper more relaxed sleep, which aids healing.
  • Balanced blood pressure.
  • Removes energy blockages
  • Increased endocrine function
  • Assists the body in ridding of toxins.
  • Raisies the vibrational energy around the body.
  • Speeds healing of acute injuries as well as chronic health problems such as migraines, pancreatitis, etc.
  • Aids in emotional clearing.

Reiki sessions allow for a safe, comfortable place to 'let go' and allows for the energy around the person to flow more freely---creating a deep relaxed state which allows the body to heal.

Reiki Principles

Just for today, do not worry.
Just for today, do not anger.
Honor your parents, teachers, and elders.
Earn your living honestly.
Show gratitude to every living thing.

Anger and worry can cause energy blocks in our fields. Letting go of all anger, worry and fear allows the energy to flow more freely around and to you. Honoring those in your life and taking value in our purpose in life is essential for inner joy. Gratitude from the heart brings more blessings to you. (law of attraction)

What is Reiki?

Reiki (ray-kee) is a Japanese form of energy healing. It means 'universal life energy' and is a 'laying on hands' technique of healing that reduces stress, promotes faster healing that benefits the mental, physical and emotional sides of any situation.

Reiki is a simple and safe method of natural healing that is avalable to everyone. Along with promoting healing, it helps to balance and restore a person's energy field and chakras.

During a Reiki session, the client remains clothed while the reiki practitioner places their hands on different points of the clients body, including the head, shoulders, abdomen, legs and feet. Most clients go into a very relaxed state of mind, feeling hot or cold sensations from the energy exchange.

Reiki was developed in Japan in 1917 and brought to the US by Hawayo Takata. It has gained increasing popularity and is now used in many hospitals across the US to assist healing.

Reiki classes are now offered online due to the increasing demand for Reiki practitioners.
